I cannot say how much I have enjoyed the entire project, especially this past month with things happening at a breakneck pace. Jake and Alex have made Herculean efforts to accommodate the early move-in of my furniture. Most especially, they have pulled out all stops to help me wrestle my unruly front yard into something manageable. They have been understanding, flexible, innovative, and always cheerful and fun to work with. In the early stages, Keely was equally as dedicated and helpful. I credit her for so many wonderful features in my new home.
Through Covid, staffing changes and other challenges, your team has never missed a beat. I have loved working with Shelter Solutions and will miss the greatly!

The Shelter Solutions team were a dream to work with. Everyone on the team including all of their subs were great, on time, communicative and solutions oriented. Shelter Solutions built our 1BR/1BA ADU in 2021 and we could not be happier with the outcome. They have an easy interface (Builder Trend) to help coordinate timing of the various design elements, see the calendar for the build, send messages, etc. The Project Manager was wonderful to work with--thoughtful, experienced, responsive, with an artistic eye. Shelter Solutions did a great job designing and building our ADU. Their system made selecting all of the options (flooring, fixtures, etc.) easy, their sub-contractors were professional and they kept things moving forward through the depths of the pandemic in 2020
Shelter Solutions designed and built our backyard ADU. They handled everything from design and permitting to construction management and coordination with utilities. It was just a little over five months from the day they started tearing down our garage until the day they gave me the keys to the beautiful new building. And the whole process was completely transparent, thanks to both their online tracking system, which was easy to use and always up to date, and their ultra-responsive project manager, who promptly returned our calls and text messages, respectfully answering all our questions. Shelter Solutions is an A++ company that I have enthusiastically recommended to others and that I wouldn't hesitate to hire again.

I’ve recently moved into a wonderful ADU that Shelter Solutions built for me. I love it! The process was very smooth and easy, from visiting a similar ADU to help me decide what I wanted, to choosing layout and appliances, to the building process. Once started, everything went smoothly, with an online calendar to let me know what to expect when. When I had questions, I was able to ask any one on the team, and always got a prompt response. When I discovered I had made a mistake and chosen the wrong interior paint color, they promptly made the change to the correct one, with no hassle, even though it was my fault! The Shelter Solutions staff were wonderful, and I was very happy with the contractors who came to do the work. I would strongly recommend Shelter Solutions for anyone wanting to build an ADU.
Shelter Solutions built an ADU for me during the pandemic! Despite the challenges associated with that, the work progressed in a timely manner and they finished almost exactly on time. I can't say enough good things about them. Their quality is stellar, I was told that they wanted me to feel like the build turned out better than my expectations, and it did. They helped with the design and had great suggestions for improvements or cool little touches. Their communication was prompt and clear, they showed up when they said they would, and with their app I could see their schedule and posted pictures of their progress which was great when I needed to be away from home. The whole experience was so painless. When does that ever happen with contractors? I would recommend them enthusiastically.
